How we evaluate the betting sites?
License
Since the enactment of Law No. 14,790/2023, known as the "Bets Law," Brazil has begun the process of regulating sports betting and online gaming. In October 2024, the Ministry of Finance, through the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, released a list of 210 online betting sites, belonging to 96 companies, authorized to operate in the country. In addition, the government began blocking around 2,040 unauthorized betting sites. Therefore, it is now possible to legally place bets on licensed platforms in Brazil. Still, the credibility of a betting site can be reinforced by the international licenses it holds, increasing trust and the level of oversight to which the company is subjected.
Oversight
In Brazil, the body responsible for regulating the sector is the Ministry of Finance, through the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting. Additionally, we consider the role of independent international entities that supervise the global market. Among the most prominent are the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and the eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA), both respected for ensuring integrity and compliance in the betting sector.
User Experience
We tested and evaluated all platform features, analyzing tools, navigation, and the overall experience on betting pages to recommend the best available options.
Market Presence
We assessed the operator’s reputation both among users and within the market, using sources such as social media, specialized forums, and opinion surveys, ensuring a comprehensive analysis.
Variety and Quality
Finally, we examined the variety of bonuses, betting markets, game types, and features offered by each platform, ensuring that you have access to the best and most complete experiences.
